ABOUT THE OWNER

 Janice is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology. She works full-time in the Medicare health insurance industry. She is a trained and certified support advocate of Women's Safety Programs in Virginia and Maryland. She is a practitioner of meditative arts and esoteric spiritual studies that promote Empowerment and Self-Care. Janice is a proud mother and enjoys photography, interior design, sports, music, and movies. 

Janice was divinely called to  provide you spiritual insight into your soul journey through spiritual readings  and dream interpretations. She provides high quality services and  offers a safe haven. She gives clarity in order to help propel you to your next level in manifesting your desires,  becoming the best version of yourself. She  bridges the gap between religion and spirituality, giving you guidance in your life's walk. She provides keen insight and practical spiritual practices that you can incorporate into your daily routine. Her spiritual coaching pillars focus on: Goal Setting, Journaling, Meditation, and Spiritual Fitness

Janice is an accomplished author with published fiction and non-fiction literary works. She was first published in 2008 by Simon and Schuster under Strebor Books. Her love for writing led her to establish a publishing company, JAVISTA BOOKS. She has written and published A Heart’s Journey, About My Father’s Business,and About My Father’s Footsteps. Her novella, "A Twisted State of Mind", is published in Another Time Another Place, by New York Times bestselling author, Zane. Janice co-wrote and co-edited the Show-Bible for the Independent Film, "Black Rose" that won the Best Drama Actress Award at the 2015 New York Television Festival. Currently, Janice is completing a sequel novel, A Soul’s Whisper. 

 In addition to Janice's creative gifts and talents, she is an active member of the Black Writers’ Guild, and the Maryland Writers’ Association. She served several years on the Executive Board  and Co-Chaired the Fairfax County Outreach Committee for the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) Northern Virginia Section. As a leader in her community, she volunteered regularly in the front office and at fundraising events for the Artemis House, an Emergency Shelter for victims of Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking.  Her company, Javista Zen  donates partial proceed to local and international charities.
